Store Brand vs Name Brand Baby Formula

This is a Sponsored post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

If you have been reading my blog for the last 7 months then you know I have a new great niece and I just love her to pieces. She is 7 months now and what a joy. She is such a happy easy going baby. I love how she smiles and laughs so easy. She is starting to get around also. She isn't crawling but is doing what we call the army crawl. Kinda pulling herself around with your arms. I'm sure she will have crawling figured out in no time.

My niece wanted to breast feed her baby for the first year. This did not work out the way she had planned. At about 5 months my great niece decided she was done breast feeding. Not much a mom can do but talk to the doctor and start feeding the baby formula. Of course the doctor suggested a name brand formula. My niece and hubby are like any young couple and don't have a lot of money. The brand name formula is very expensive. A friend of her's suggested that she switch to generic formula. My niece being a great mom and very smart thought she would check out the labels and if there were any difference that would make one better then the other. She ended up buying the store brand formula thinking it would be as good or better for her baby. She also loved the price. My great niece and niece are very happy with the store brand formula.

Here is also a article discussing the recent recalls on baby formulas and the reasons to use generic formulas.

I didn't even know they made a generic formula?. But then again, why not?

In most cases I choose store brand anything. There are a few things that I will only buy name brand. I can't imagine buying formula now remembering how expensive it was when my kids were little.
