7 Things About Me

I love getting awards!

Thanks Silvergirl for thinking of me!

The Rules:
1. Thank and link back the person who gave you this award.
2. Share 7 things about yourself.
3. Award 15 great bloggers you know.
4. Contact these bloggers and tell them about the award

Jenn over at My Kid's Are My World also received this wonderful award. I'm going to use some of her idea's to tell you about me.

I'm going to tell you two things about my wedding ring.

First the ring I wear everyday is not the ring My Hubby gave me on our wedding day (almost 23 years ago). I lost that set. About 15 years ago we lived in IL. On a Friday I was making meat loaf. I take my rings off when mixing the meat up. I didn't go to put them back on till Monday and they were not there. Over the weekend our block had a block party and most of the activities were in front of our house. Many neighbors came into our house to use the bathroom. I think it was taken by someone. I was very sad.

The ring I wear now is my Great Aunts, Auntie Sue. She was married 3 times to 3 wonderful men that all passed away. I only remember Uncle Al. They spoiled me rotten. After my Uncle Al died she had all her rings made into one. My mom had a jeweler that came to our house, I guess that is how most jewelers work back then. I was little and I remember when he came over and my Auntie Sue picked out her setting. I always loved her ring. My Auntie Sue was sick and give the ring to my mom who would wear it now and then. When I lost my rings my mom asked my Auntie Sue who was in a nursing home if she could give her ring to me. She loved the idea. So ever since I have been wearing my Auntie Sue's ring as my wedding ring.

Sorry my picture isn't better. I had a hard time zooming in on it.

My one rule about blogging is to not write to much. I think I just broke my own rule.

I seem to change my favorite color all the time. I think it goes with my mood.

I really need to have my hair cut. I haven't had it cut in over a year and a half. I have trimmed it but it's just not the same.

I love to make things. It could be a craft, a painting or building something. It just makes me feel good. It's part of who I am.

I love to sing in the car when I'm alone. Doing this makes me feel good and makes me want to smile.

Okay I think that is 7 things. I don't know who to give this to. I know so many wonderful stylish blogs. I'm going to just leave it up to you. If you would like to post this on your blog please do. If you are here reading this you are a wonderful stylish person with great taste :) because you are reading this.

Ok, I sing in the car, loudly and really badly, all the drive the hubs nuts!

That really stinks that someone stole your ring...people can be so mean.
