Christmas Gifts I Made

Every year I try to make a couple of gifts. This year I made a blanket for Son #2 which I posted about weeks ago. This is Son #3's blanket. He is my hunter so I wanted something with deer on it. All I could find was this winter looking fabric and the camo. They don't go together as good as I would like but it looks like I had him in mind and that is what I wanted.

Remember I have a new great niece so I had to make her something. This is a poncho to put on her when she is in her car seat. I had help making this and it turned out wonderful. I'm sure they are going to love it.

I also made her this hair bow holder. I just loved making girlie things. What fun.

Did anyone else make any specials gifts?

beautiful. Things from the heart are worth so much more.

I think the hand made gifts are the best. Somehow they just seem to have more meaning in them. Yours all turned out great.

You are so talented!! The poncho for a car seat is such a clever idea, Especially since a child is not supposed to wear a coat under their carseatbelts! I cringe whenever I see a child with a big winter coat under their belts, I think a lot of parents don't even realize that is dangerous as they are not in their car seat snug enough with all of that padding from their coat! What a very sweet gift!

And Happy New Year to you!

This is why a poncho works so good. I have found that most people don't seem to know that the car seat straps should not be over a coat.
