A little summer get away to Oscoda, MI

About 2 weeks ago we took a little mini vacation to Oscoda, MI. Good friends of ours has a little place on Lake Huron. As a kid my family and some family friends would go up to Oscoda for a week every summer. We would rent little cabins on the lake. I was looking forward to going up and seeing if the little cabin were still there. It has been over 30 years since I have been up to Oscoda and back then I though that the cabins were really old.

It's about a 2 1/2 hour ride for us, which isn't to bad. We had a great time we spent most of our time on the beach. The weather was perfect. Here are some pictures from our trip.
There really was not many people around. I think that made it even better.
I had my toes in the water and sand.
The kid's went fishing. This was the big catch.
My little guy and I made a sand turtle on the beach.
This is my friend and her little one walking down the beach.
This was the moon come up over the water.
We did a little grilling.
This is our friends little one. He was so much fun to play with on the beach.
Me playing in the water with My Little Guy.
These two pictures are of the little cabin my family stayed at when I was a kid. When we were going here they were painted all white and had a different name but basically they look the same.
That was our little summer get away to Oscoda, MI. We had a ton of fun and I can't wait to go back up there.

Looks like a beautiful spot for a vacation and I can see from the pictures you had a fabulous time. How cool that those cabins are still there. I love the colors they painted them.
