Recession, Recovery & Store Brands

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of PBM Products. All opinions are 100% mine.

Recession, Recovery & Store Brands

The economy sure doesn't seem to be getting better here in Michigan. My husband is still without a job. I feel very blessed that I still have one. I have 3 teenager and they can't even find a little part time job to help out. Times are tough.

We still have to eat. One way I have found to help cut our food bill is to buy store brands. We even like some of the store brands better. I think it makes a big difference with our food bill.

A survey was done and 8 of 10 supermarket shoppers see no improvement in the economy, and 40% say things have actually gotten worse in recent months. I think I'm in the 40% saying things have gotten worse.

62% of consumers plan to buy more Store Brand products as they deal with the tough economy. I'm part of this 62% too. I'm out there buying Store Brands. This is taking shoppers who identify themselves as frequent buyers of store brands to a all-time high of 57%.

43% of shoppers are trying Store Brands for the first time in categories where they used to buy only national brands. This is us too. I have been trying all sorts of store brand products. I have even stocked up on store brands when they were on a really good sale.

Virtually all (97%) of shoppers who switched to a Store Brand are happy with their new choice. We have been very happy with the store brand products. I'm sure we will keep buying them even when the economy gets better.

*49% say their new Store Brand selections compare “very favorably”.

If you are a parent of a child that is drinking formula give Parent's Choice formula a try. It's a store brand formula.

When I was a kid my dad always bought store brand products so it's been something I've been used to for years. There are a few things that I will only buy name brand but most of the time the store brand is just as good
