Movie Review - The Curious Case of Benjamin Button

Rated: PG13
Movie Made in: 2008
Run Time: 165 Minutes
Starring: Brad Pit and Cate Blanchett

David Fincher's The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, an adaptation of F. Scott Fitzgerald's story, re-teams the director with Brad Pitt, who takes on the title role. What makes Button such a curious case is that when he is born in New Orleans just after World War I, he is already in his eighties, and proceeds to live his life aging in reverse. This sweeping film follows the character's unusual life into the 21st century as he experiences joy and sadness, loves lost and found, and the meaning of timelessness. Cate Blanchett co-stars along with Tilda Swinton, Elias Koteas, and Julia Ormond.

I found this movie very interesting and after it was done with lots of questions. I had to keep reminding myself it's just a movie and not real life. My Little Guy and Hubby watched it with me. My Little Guy could not get what meaning the clock had to the story and why he would turn into a baby again when he wasn't born a big old man, just a movie remember. My Hubby found it slow and not very interesting. Hey I got to look at Brad Pitt that alone makes me happy. I liked this movie and I'm giving it 4 stars out of 5.

I enjoyed it also. And I could watch it several more times just so I could look at Brad over and over.

The part I want to make a reality lol (maybe not) was that as the person got older/younger they got smaller. If you have to care for an aging parent you know moving a person that can't really help can be difficult... how much easier if they were smaller lol. It's just a movie, it's just a movie, it's just a movie lol
